Urbis at Orbis

There are many iconographic variations of the image of Christ not made by human hands (Ubrus). I once thought about trying to assemble a single, generalised image from them, because the prototype is single. Isn't it? I assembled a multi-layered picture of various versions of the famous icon and tried to merge the images together. The result surprised me, to say the least. I tried once, twice, three times. Then I decided to stop, realising that this was obviously some kind of sign. A message. Urbis at Orbis.
